Site-specific design for Tony Chi’s The Residence at Grand Hyatt Erawan Bangkok, a play between human and space that resonate the approach of interior design is implemented, enhanced with spells of time and flower. Elements which will be added to the room will be compatible with the original space. Vases are enlarged in replication to existing vases in the room while structure’s repetitive turned pillar is created in tribute to the space’s decorative elements.
Strong and bright colours could create a cheerful experience. Grouped arrangement of flowers in similar colour was applied with the choices of colourful vases on white background. Selected types of flower used in this work are calla lily, oncidium, pale pink rose, red cockscomb, phalaenopsis, and anthurium.
