"Simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication." - Leonardo da Vinci

Induced by a contemporary movement in arts and architecture from 18th century until these days, known as Neoclassical style, Traditionalism, or Revivalism. Practices and formulas of classical style are continued and maintained, but also twisted and adapted to context surrounded.

PHKA proposed the scheme to the client, who accepted and agreed to proceed with what they imagine it would be timeless, uncomplicated and simply clean, balanced of masculine and feminine, and sophisticated in terms of design. Neutral and subtle palette of colours was chosen, in order not to distract any other ornaments of design. The pairings between old and new elements are visualised; acanthus -leaf- like relief, fluted column, and boiserie are against simple foliage plane, white rose as the only flower, and chandelier-shape crystal installation. These combination and between-elements transition are difficulties of the project, that we have to keep control, not to result in grandiloquent and opulent manner.
